Summary:In this research a solution to the problem that commonly occurs in Ecuador, with respect to the limited supply of electricity in rural areas is sought because of the difficulty of building a line of power supply, either by the difficult access to the site, distance, and in this case the number of beneficiaries make the costs are very high, so in these areas, mostly have only traditional energy sources such as firewood or charcoal to meet their needs energy; so it was chosen of the keepers of the Hacienda el Tambo homes located in the sector which has the same name, of the Latacunga canton in the province of Cotopaxi, for the implementation of a Hybrid System of 1000 W, taking into account the analysis of the wind-solar potential of the sector following data were obtained: 8.2 m / s wind speed and 4719.61 Wh / m2 of solar radiation measured by the anemometer and pyranometer respectively which affirm that environmental conditions in the sector are suitable for the implementation of the Hybrid system consisting of a wind turbine for use converting the kinetic energy of wind to electricity, from the solar panels to generate electricity.
