Description
Summary:This article contains a summary of the results achieved during the inventory of non-metallic raw materials, made by the German-Ecuadorian cooperation during the eighties and nineties, in order to assist in the dissemination and socialization of information available in non-metallic mining of Ecuador, in the specific synthesis of clay minerals available inventory. The project began with the systematic implementation of an "inventory of known evidence of non-metallic raw materials" in the various provinces, Ecuador was divided into nineteen (19) provinces, numbered alphabetically. The time needed for the automated storage, distribution and dissemination of information, contributed to the fact that inventories are compiled only find available in physical (paper) in the Documentation Centre INIGEMM, hindering access to all stakeholders, and most importantly the socialization of information in the traditional and industrial ceramics sector of Ecuador. This work complements the SENESCYT Project: "Characterization of clay raw materials for use by National Ceramic Craft Sector and / or Industrial of Ecuador". Which it aims to once the physicochemical and evaluation of ceramic clay raw materials generate a database that allows this technical information available to all academic and productive sectors of the country.
