Summary:The work consists of developing a control system noise and vibration in the cab of a corn harvester, based on theory of acoustic isolation and conditioning. It is very necessary to develop a noise control system for the cab of the corn harvester because the operator suffers severely damaged by noise and vibration being a few examples, back problems, heart problems and the possible loss of hearing from long exposure to very high levels of sound pressure that gradually impair the operator is hearing. With no rules for this specific case will be taken as a reference the ISO-2631 in the case of vibrations of the whole human body, but cannot fully implement this legislation for the situation and environment in the country, being necessary to draft a regulation under the conditions of Ecuador. To establish the noise control system, to understand the current situation which is the machine will be measured in situ and with this results make an analysis for an effective and viable solution. The control system of noise in air is basically going to consist of applying a high-density material on the roof of the cab, change all the joints in both glass and the door for new rubber joints. For vibration control is proposed to change the operator is seat for a more ergonomic and a shock absorber in its base, in the floor is going to be applied a carpet of rubber with air chamber and covered with a metal plate for protection. The total noise reduction that can provide the prototype that is proposed in this work will be 30 percent to 40 percent to have a final sound pressure level at the operator is cab between 49.9 [dBA] to 58.3 [dBA].
