The school environment becomes more important because it occurs in the training context, where learning is managed, both academically and socially, therefore, is very important to teach students how to establish good interpersonal relationships, as well as promote knowledge and practice of the peaceful settlement of conflicts. The school life not only engages students and authorities, covers all those who are related to educational work, taking into account relations that exist between parents, teachers, officials and students, with the aim of establish a harmonious atmosphere between all the actors in the educational community of the institution. From the constructivist theory, according to which learning is an individual and internal process of each individual, students acquire new knowledge from their own experiences and prior knowledge, therefore, have a code of living to guide this process serve to extend the teaching and learning of rules for peaceful coexistence. To achieve this purpose, has made school life code, based on legal standards, an analysis of each group involved in educational work and approach to managing school life in Latin America. La convivencia es un hecho inherente al ser humano, desde que nace hasta que muere, ya que para desarrollarse en una sociedad, es necesario establecer vínculos que aporten en el diario convivir. La convivencia escolar cobra mayor relevancia debido a que se da en el contexto formativo, lugar donde se gestiona el aprendizaje, tanto a nivel académico como social, por tanto, es muy importante enseñar a los estudiantes como establecer buenas relaciones interpersonales, así como también propiciar el conocimiento y práctica de la solución pacifica de los conflictos. La convivencia escolar no solo involucra a los estudiantes y autoridades, abarca a todos quienes se encuentran relacionados al quehacer educativo, es decir, toma en cuenta las relaciones que se establecen entre los padres de familia, docentes, autoridades y estudiantes, con el propósito de establecer un ambiente armónico entre todos los actores que conforman la comunidad educativa de la institución. Desde la teoría constructivista, según la cual, el aprendizaje es un proceso individual e interno de cada individuo, los estudiantes adquieren nuevo conocimiento a partir de sus propias experiencias y conocimientos anteriores, por lo cual, contar con un código de convivencia que guie este proceso, servirá para direccionar la enseñanza y aprendizaje de las normas para una convivencia pacífica.
